Age: 26 (children: 1 daughter, 8 years old - breastfed: 18 mos.)
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 100 lbs.
Pre op size: (34 C before childbirth) comfortably rolled into AA, A, B, C
LOL! (I had no size, just skin)
post op size: 34 D
Implant: McGhan, round, textured, under the muscle, saline.
incision: periareolar

Prior to operation I had excessive loose, scarred abdominal and breast skin as well as no breast mass after breast feeding and daily workouts that brought my bodyfat down to just about nothing.

I had consulted with a local PS before choosing to go out of state to a PS with the best reputation for work that I could find, and impeccable credentials. I had both a full abdominoplasty to remove skin as well as to repair a long lateral tear in my fascia from childbirth (the area in between your abdominal muscles), and a full breast augmentation.

I was told that scarring could be moved down significantly, belly button could be reconstructed, fascia repaired, and breasts enlarged to create a better form. After surgery I found that I had more then one mondors cord (is this even possible LOL!), severe rippling around the outermost edges of the implants and underneath both breasts...most pronounced when my arms are extended, double bubble, assymettry, and an overall unatural feel to the breasts due to my thin skin with little breast tissue. I also have now a scar with some puckering around it (and even a shelflike quality to it) that may even out where the abdominoplasty was performed as well as a very odd "v" shaped cut for a belly button....that I am not sure how it will change with time.

I have been pleased with how quickly I recovered from this massive amount of work but very dissapointed with the results and am told that I cannot have silicone as it is not legalized and that the rippling and double bubble cannot be fixed. I would love to hear from anyone who knows of what the actual problem with the double bubble may be and if in fact this can be fixed? Please include my email address, and I would be happy to answer anyones questions on the procedures I have had done. Thanks! shwank@sover.net

These are 3 months post to add to saggypre/26. The right breast that has the "double bubble" really is appearing to be more of an issue of bottoming out as the lower part of the double bubble is the implant. The scar is evening out nicely where the abdomino was performed but the belly button is a bit jagged looking. I am going for a redo on my augmentation in 2 weeks to have cohesive gels put in, I am hoping to correct the double bubble and the rippling and unatural feel, and will update after that surgery. Feel free to email me with any questions.

These are my two month redo shots to add to saggypre/26. Unfortunately all is not well this time. I had called McGhan about the feel of my old saline implants as they seemed to morph all over the place and were really ripply and almost popped to the touch. I was given the name of the surgeon who had the last redo space available on the east coast for low bleed cohesive silicone implants (the consistency of gummy bears) and jumped at that oppurtunity to be a part of their clinical study as I saw no other alternatives to fix them.

I handled the preop all by photos email and telephone dialogue and traveled 5 hours to get these done. When I got there I realized that they were anatomically shaped and only came in 100cc increments. Because of the difference in shape and the less projection on top I opted for 100ccs more then I had previously had. I loved the feeling of the implants immediately when I held them in my hand and was very excited about this. We were fixing the rippling, the feel and the dent this time.

Well this surgery was quick, and after coming out I had an intensely sharp nerve pain for three solid weeks where I could not move my right arm. My breasts swelled much larger this time but it appeared that the dent was finally gone. One week to the day, the right crease dropped and the implant bottomed out and the dent reappeared. I was VERY dissappointed with this. My surgeon had removed a breast mass in the right breast (something that existed prior to surgery from old clogged milk ducts), thinking that this was causing an obstruction and therefore the dent, but it now is clear that the dent is the old crease from where it used to be before any surgeries.

The new breasts at this point feel wonderful but they do still ripple when bending over but not as dramatically as before. They are much more weighty then the last saline round implants that I had and because of this and the anatomical shape, are pulling down and causing the left breast to sag. If you lift the left breast with your hand you can actually pick it up and down (it feels very natural) but the right one has a crease nearly an inch lower and cannot move in the same manner and the lower crease causes the nipple to be higher.

The other wonderful problem now is that the right breast healed this time ATTACHED to the muscle.....this causes a strong deformity each and every time I flex and is entirely dissapointing to me as I work out 5-6 days a week and it is noticeably moving within my gym clothes when I move around. My surgeon feels at this point that he can do a redo surgery to release the connection to the muscle as well as raise the crease, possibly sutured with nondissolving stitches to keep it from bottoming out again, and we are discussing doing a benelli lift (around the areola) to raise the left breast up and reposition the right nipple to be even.

How will this story end? Hopefully soon as I now have no feeling in my right breast, no feeling in the center of my tummy, am now $28,000.00 out only 4 months later after the start and, looking towards a third surgery. WIll it be worth it? YES.....but only if these fixes work. This surgery is VERY hard on the body and I do not look forward to any more of it, in fact last time I felt strongly that I could not handle more and yet here I have to go again or else live with this...which I do not want to have to so back I go for more....thanks to everyone who has written! I have had a huge response and many have been VERY helpful. Thank you!
